As I eagerly await a release of Gunfight at the OK Corral, I wanted to give recommendation to Tiomkin's score for the 1957 film Night Passage, a film that I have just seen for the first time. There is an abundance of wonderful pastoral qualities as well as some exciting action. Great song, too, as expected from a Tiomkin/Washington composition.
It would be nice to know if Universal has access to original elements dating back this far. It would be even nicer if Universal opened up the floodgates in letting their properties in general out the vaults.
