This is a proposed double-header release representing two of the best 70s film composers. I believe both films are owned by Warner Bros., and there are no old album rights to be concerned about for either one. Straight Time is a very short score, and I think it would make for a wonderful opportunity to release Michael Small's score for The Drowning Pool (which also features Charles Fox's tune, "Killing Me Softly With His Song"). Below is the catchy main theme from Shire's short score. |

Very nice suggestion for a pairing! The Drowning Pool is high on my wish list but I remember Lukas Kendall saying that the masters are lost. Perhaps something can be done with the music stems. I believe the music heard over the DVD menu comes from this source. |

I did not know that about The Drowning Pool. It's a shame that some of Small's best scores haven't been preserved properly. I'd gladly take the music from film stems over nothing, just as I gladly did with FSM's release of Small's innovative masterwork for The Parallax View. |

My dream twofer would be Shire's STRAIGHT TIME and Small's NIGHT MOVES (also plagued by lost tapes), but your suggestion would do nicely as well. |
