Any discussions anywhere about No Man's Land by Basil Poledouris? I remember the score was used A LOT as a popular trailer temp track, and it is very hypnotic 80s score. It is a bit repetitive, but a great driving or workout track. http://youtu.be/kV21XMKjDno http://youtu.be/vOnnMpZ4Jog Here's hoping Intrada does another wonderful expanded Basil score. And I would love to see an expanded Under Siege 1 and 2 and Starship Troopers. Thanks Jason |

No Man's Land is often derided, but I think it is an enjoyable and powerful synth effort by Poledouris. I'm not sure how much music is missing from the prior releases, but the Prometheus double-header can still be bought for cheap from certain e-tailers. While Cherry 2000 was re-released by Intrada despite that Prometheus release, it is probably not nearly as hard of a sell as No Man's Land. Even the Intrada release of Cherry 2000 coupled with a premiere release of Poledouris' House of God is still hanging around at a 1500 copy run. Under Siege 2 and Starship Troopers could really use expansions, but they are in Varese Sarabande's territory. |
