We know that Oliver Nelson's scores for The Six Million Dollar Man series are highly sought-after, but I suppose much more realistic goals would be to release the rest of his work for theatrical films.

Zigzag received a stellar release by FSM and is without a doubt one of my favorite releases from any label. Ignoring the TV scores which are highly unlikely to be presented as comprehensive albums, that leaves us with Nelson's wonderful scores for the Universal films Death of a Gunfighter and Skullduggery.

Is that still too lofty of a wish?

You can watch and listen to SKULLDUGGERY on Youtube. Oliver Nelson became one of Universal's unique talents in the 1970's, but was not properly utilized outside of television for a variety of reasons. He could have become their Quincy Jones.

Someone re-uploaded Skullduggery on YouTube. I'll post it here so people can get a taste of Nelson's excellent score for this extremely rare film.

Stanley Wilson, the head of the Universal music department at that time, really helped Oliver Nelson break into feature films after his television work, but unfortunately, did not score any box office hits.
