The score for this serious farce or farcical drama (take your pick) from 1966, starring Sean Connery and Joanne Woodward, has never been available. But since the Warner Brothers vaults are now open to Intrada, it might be worthwile. Addison had a natural affinity for comedies, and this is no exception (and is that a theremin I hear or ondes martenot in the second half?). Might also be worth adding another Addison (fairly obscure) score for Warners, START THE REVOLUTION WITHOUT ME. (Anyone who loved his music for TOM JONES would want this...) |
