There was the FSM set of volume 1 that featured five of Schifrin's scores for MGM films from the 60s. I thought that it would perhaps be neat to continue this idea with a set of five Schifrin scores for Universal films, and a set of three Schifrin scores for Paramount films. My suggestions for the Universal set (I'll leave out the Malpaso Eastwood titles and Airport '79 since those are undoubtedly popular enough to be released on their own): Blindfold (1965) Dark Intruder (1965) Eye of the Cat (1969) I Love My Wife (1970) Charley Varrick (1973) Blindfold: Dark Intruder: Eye of the Cat: Charley Varrick: My suggestions for the Paramount set: The President's Analyst (1967) The Brotherhood (1968) WUSA (1970) |

I just added Eye of the Cat. I forgot that this was released by Universal. I know that these suggested titles are pretty much a pipe dream, but a person can wish. Some of these scores are quite innovative, and it would be a shame to see them go unreleased due to age and a significant lack of recognition. |

So, I'm the only one who takes a big interest in these proposed sets of lesser-known Schifrin gems? I guess it would be wise for Intrada not to listen to me. ![]() I wish there was a working YouTube link to demonstrate the greatness that is the score for The Brotherhood. |

I wonder ... I don't think it's ever been done before, but: could a label, let us say Intrada (for example), pick up litterally where another label left off, in this case FSM, and do a "Volume _" of something? A second TV Omnibus would be fanstastic, for example. |

More Lalo is needed for sure. I'd certainly pick up Newman Fan's suggested sets. |
