So here I sit listening to Intrada's brilliant Amazing Stories releases... Seriously I've done all three in three days whilst I'm on rest days from work... While I'm listening I am reminded of the New Twilight Zone series back in the 80's.. Now if memory serves me correctly the only way I could watch these as a kid was rent the VHS tapes from my local video store. If my memory also serves me correctly Basil Poledouris, Ken Wannberg, Craig Safan and Brad Fiedel all wrote scores for these.. This would therefore mean that other big names probably did so? Is there anything that exsists from these shows and if so Intrada can you add these to another suggested release.. I'm sure, as with most of my requests somebody has already asked but I thought I would get some interest going as you never what could be being considered... Thanks All.. Currently Spinning on the wheel of Sounds..... Amazing Stories Anthology Three Disc 1 "Go to the Head of The Class" OOOOH the Synclavier Alan sure did love his Synclavier!! |

I read on another forum that a label is working on this series. There's some nice music featured here. One of a handful of scores that has stuck with me is Robert Drasnin's touching, classically-inspired music for the sisters in the segment "Grace Note." It's one of my most favorite Twilight Zone episodes in all of the show's iterations. "Profile in Silver" is another highlight in the series with Basil Poledouris scoring the thriller aspects of it quite effectively. |
