In light of FSM's latest release of a Grusin twofer, I thought that And Justice for All (1979) & Absence of Malice (1981) would also be a great twofer. I believe both complete scores will fit on a single CD and both films are Columbia productions. I'm especially surprised that the score for And Justice for All remains unreleased. The score features some really nice soft passages on top of the more well-known upbeat jazz and disco themes. There is also the popular end credits song (Something Funny Goin' On) that contains Grusin's main theme with lyrics added by the Bergmans. |

I would love to see this happen. I've always liked ABSENCE OF MALICE (not only the film but the score) Not a lot of music in the film but enough for a CD. Question is, will they ever listen and put this out? |

And Justice For All, a great film too. Relying on memory here, pretty sure before the opening main title music begins a group of kids are reciting the Pledge Of Alligiance, would like to see that including on any possible score release. A great film. |
