The score featured within the film is terrific, and is worth a release simply for Kamen's glorious orchestrations/arrangements of "When Johnny Comes Marching Home." However, there is of course interest in getting Kamen's rejected material that is said to be quite long in length. Has anyone heard any of this rejected music that was purportedly recorded in full? |

Funny... I just recently watched all of the Die Hard films. Agreed. The music in the film was fantastic. The release that came out was sadly lacking in some of the best material in the film. ??? I really hope this will be released again, in a much more complete fashion. Michael Kamen is sorely missed. |

Yeah, the quality of the current album is very poor. I suppose that can be a good thing since it gives a specialty label much more incentive to give Kamen's work the definitive treatment. I enjoy this film about as much as the original, and the music has a lot to do with it. I can't get enough of the themes that Kamen used throughout the series, and unlike with the first film, the recordings should be in top-notch quality. Someone posted some of the score on YouTube a while ago. |

After hearing those samples, makes me wanna dust off the DVD & give it a spin. It will have to do until we finally get a decent release hopefully before the 20th anniversary hits us. |

I am so happy that Varese delivered an expanded version of Die Hard 2. Now all we need is a significant expansion of the third one to finish the comprehensive releases for Kamen's magnificent trilogy of Die Hard scores. |

The news this morning of the Deluxe DIE HARD 2 was wonderful and not expected. I am with T. Newman Fan... DIE HARD WITH A VENGEANCE... is looking more promising. Glad for the Michael Kamen love (again)... I wonder what Intrada has up their sleeve next? |

I can't understand why his last score (Back to Gaya) 1000 copies haven't sold out yet ! I'm hoping for some Lethal Weapon 2, 3 and 4 complete releases as well... |
