I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner, but maybe some soundtrack label could put out the music for the animated series, The Real Ghostbusters. I know that a soundtrack for this show exists, because I've seen it once on ebay. I always liked by the music of the show, not to mention the theme song sung by John Smith for the opening. In fact, this version could give Ray Parker Jr.'s movie version a run for it's money. What do you all think?

I love this show! I own the entire TimeLife series on DVD. :)

I thought I was the only one who thought Smith's version was quite possibly superior to Parker Jr.'s! Although I can't speak for the quality of the underscore since I've never seen the show, after hearing these two:

I definitely want to see the song released somehow.

This would be a first day purchase for me. Great songs and an excellent score throughout. Probably my favorite cartoon as a child and it's a real pleasure owning the first two series (with the original voice actors!) on DVD 8)

I also know that within the "Ghostbusters Community" there's a lot of demand for this. People have gone so far as to re-record some of the score themselves!

You can count me in for this one, too. Unfortunately, the cartoon scores I desire the most are all unreleasable for one reason or another. Mainly because the licences seem difficult to obtain. This seems to be another one. It's probably the most requested 80s cartoon score, along with Ducktales.

One day, I hope that Intrada will turn their attention towards 80s cartoon scores and splurge. :)
