First off there is not that much by Leonard "Lennie" Niehaus released on CD, just a few scores to some of his collaborations with Clint Eastwood. However since they have done more movies together and those are not released (at all) and that is too bad. So my three picks for Clint Eastwood movies scored by Niehaus are: 1, Pale Rider (great score for a great movie) 2, Heartbreak Ridge (nice to hear that he can write in other styles than jazz as we know he and Clint apparently love) 3, The Rookie (nice little action score) All these three is in need of CD release. |

I wouldn't mind this at all. Some fun stuff in "Rookie". Not sure how many copies would sell, though. |

Doesn´t Eastwood himself hold the rights to the music to his movies? i read that somewhere, and that´s why there isn´t a Firefox etc out and it was difficult for Lalo to get his Dirty Harry scores out...Niehaus made some great music to eastwoods movies and I also think he made some stuff to the spy action comedy Never too Young to Die featuring john Stamos, vanity, gene Simmons, robert Englund and george lazenby

I like Lennie Niehaus scores myself. Absolute Power is a good, intense, dramatic score that brings to mind 60's film music. I believe he worked quite a bit with Jerry Fielding, The Outlaw Josie Wales... I was thinking about Lennie Niehaus just yesterday. Saw a CD a few days ago with his score for a documentary on Clint Eastwood. |

I would love for Niehause's score to Space Cowboys to be released. Surprised it hasn't. |
