The only release so far is painfully incomplete. Really, you might as well be listening to a few singles. The score to this film is very underrated, IMHO. |

Fantastic score. There is a 45-minute promo that I believe Intrada worked on (as they did with the promos for Swordfish and The Core), but its availability is so scarce that it may as well be unreleased. I'd without question buy the complete score. |

I loved this movie... A great homage to slasher movies of the past... but, done with style, slickness... and a very game cast who pulls out all the stops. Along for the ride was the return of Christopher Young who had basically started in horror films. What more could you ask for... CY's return to horror... a large orchestra (if memory is correct)... and some of the best music of his career (in my opinion.) To this day I can still hear that ominous theme associated with the killer as they go after their intended victim. The music sounded so immense. Special mention to the percussion portion of the score (CY always excels in this category). Great stuff. I would love to see this criminally short (in it's commercial release) and decent length promo score expanded/and or complete. With THE CORE getting a facelift commercially, there may be hope. SPECIES was another case. I think there are a few others (I may be wrong) that were promo produced... MURDER AT 1600, VIRTUOSITY, HUSH... that could use a commercial re-visit. |

There is also the highly effective choral element. Christopher Young is a true master in the art of horror scoring. His horror scores sound so genuinely menacing and foreboding. The Uninvited and Drag Me to Hell are recent proof that Young still has it. |
