With 53 tracks, a number of those tracks must be less than 15 seconds long.

A good amount of editing would be needed for an official release.

Oh, so it's not a promo. Instead, it seems to be a rip of the music from a video source, or at best from some music source many generations away from the masters. I'm sure it is perfectly adequate for those who have it until an official release from the master elements becomes available.

I like the term "promotional", especially in that case : as if Basil Poledouris needed some promo anymore...

It's the complete score not a promo. And who cares what type. I'm happy to have it. Why it was not released, I don't know.

It wasn't released because it's a bootleg. And Varèse already released an earlier but shorter album. They seem to own the licence for this score in perpetuity, so it's up to them to make a Deluxe Edition, or not...

Was it actually a promo? I've never heard of RoboCop 3 having one.

Let's remove the b**t discussion before this thread gets locked. It's unnecessary and only promotes pirating.

Lets us instead say it's against the board rules. To say posting about boots promots pirating, is to say pirating never occured before the Intrada forum, the FSM forum, or the internet.

Sort of like closing your eyes or hiding under a cover and hoping something just goes away.

I'll go out on a limb and say boot trading is actually DOWN, and has been, among the score community, for a few years now, since Intrada, FSM, LLLR, Quartet, etc., have gotten access to studios we could not previously, and now every month we get one or more Holy Grails or things we never thought we'd see before because of rights of master tape issues. Well, maybe ad in the caviat that that applies to "film" scores, as television scores are still wildly under represented, especially damn near every single 1980's TV series (yet we have so many scores from that decade).

Second of all I purchased this album in a record store many many years ago. I saw it and bought it. End of story.
