Thanks for the reply! I've kind of suspected that... and wanted to ask the composer's management (and maybe ask them if there is more Alan Silvestri music in the same style) but didn't find any contact info so the next best solution seemed to ask on a filmscore forum.
However, this particular clip isn't as important to have identified as my basic reason is to find more music in this particular style (early-to-mid 1980s, instrumental electro/funk/fusion) which I really like and is quite hard to find...
The name of Paul Hardcastle is often mentioned in this style but he's a pop/jazz composer... I have listened to Jan Hammer but his style is a bit different... Harold Faltermeyer of 'Axel F' fame comes to mind, I have yet to check his albums out... I wonder if it's offtopic to ask for some more suggestions?
