Even second-rate Morricone is better than the best efforts of many composers for the screen, as demonstrated by this score for the 1983 WWII drama starring Gregory Peck and Christopher Plummer. Cerberus originally released this in the U.S. on vinyl so the way should be clear for a CD edition (as was the case when BSX released A TIME TO DIE on CD). I know there will be some who will moan the playing time is short, but nevertheless the LP program is an excellent representation of the score.
