Just re-listened this score after a long time and remembered how good it is.
But the TVT release is only 30 mins. of score and, even if It whas a long time ago since I saw the movie, I'm sure there's a lot missing (such as the Eve escape from the lab).
I hope this score is considered for an Intrada release in the future. The first Species was released by Intrada and Intrada has already expanded previous TVT releases (Lost In Space)

Thanks Dan for bringing this up. I know that the second film was not as popular as the first... even though I thought it was a pretty continuation of the story and opened up several possibilities. Edward Shearmur's score was slick, exciting and excellent. The original release was criminally short. Hopefully one day we will see this expanded from Intrada???

I live north of Baltimore and it was very cool they shot the film in the Baltimore/Washington DC area.

The only movie they shot remotely in my area was Prancer. My aunt is one of the laughing people in the opening scene. God, that movie sucks.

Just bumping this up as today I listened to Species and Species 2. Excellent scores and I hope someday Intrada will release the full score for Species 2.
