I don't mean to sound like a broken record, but Psycho II and Tex are in DIRE need of a release, Intrada! Both such great scores, and although P2 was released on LP, has not been presented to show what a great score it truly is. The other, hasn't even been released at all. Shame too, because it's one of Donaggio's most wholesome pieces, and those who know Pino, know he usually didn't do wholesome!  Please consider these titles oh great Intrada ones! |

Just a novice replying....MCA Records originally released Psycho II sdtk, however Varese re-released it on CD. On the other hand Intrada has a relationship w/EMG, so hopefully an expanded release will happen. Really not sure if Varese own the rights in perpetuity. I think this was discussed before but I don't know when exactly. Sorry my age is catching up with me. |

Great to hear from you - in my opinion all who know and appreciate and respect the maximum element that is film music are equal! I did know Varese released Psycho II but I thought that was just a one time deal. Varese released a slew of MCA LP reissues, that also included Earthquake, Jaws 2, and Firestarter. Although none of those have been released again, I do know that Firestarter was kept in circulation for years after Earthquake, Jaws 2, and Psycho II weren't. I my guess is that they went out of rights, whereas Firestarter is probably still held by Varese. Here's hoping that P2, Earthquake, and even Jaws 2 can get reissues soon! |

Every Goldsmith score will surface eventuallyas it is a goldmine for the labels to release it as fans cry out for it...Psycho 2 is one of the last most sought after Goldsmith titles to need the deluxe treatment so it will come eventually when the time is right...I bet it will be our favourite label to release it too and I even think that one will be their next big Goldsmith release (but don´t take my word for it thou...as i´m only guessing) |
