Does anyone know if La la Land has exclusive rights to this Faltermeyer score? |

Wonder if this could be the 4 year Sony/Paramount project that LLL has been working on? Or ST: TMP....! |

I think there is hardly any score music to it so it would`nt be any point making it. On the other hand i would buy it if it was released. |

Yea, I had heard that HF "walked out" on the project, but who knows. I'm guessing there's enough music to warrant a full release. I do know that MV from LLL has mentioned there were many legal issues involved in getting this music released. Sony/Paramount controls the rights, if I'm not mistaken. It would be the best ever if they could somehow get this one out there. |

I dont know what polictics are involved to have this score released, but there must be some material available. Even if it just ends up being a 10 track score. With Paramount celebrating 100 years, i'm seeing all kinds of Paramount scores being released. With this in mind they should put all there differences to one side sort out the paperwork & listen to the fans. We want Top Gun, Beverley Hills cop & Beverley Hills cop 2. Cant wait around for another 100 years. ![]() |

A bit off-topic, but Thief of Hearts features an excellent soundtrack by Faltermeyer and Moroder. I bought the CD used from Amazon a while ago. The vocal tracks are captivating, especially the ones sung by Melissa Manchester, Darwun and Elizabeth Daily. Faltermeyer fans should seek this one out if you haven't already. |

If we're getting going on the Faltermeyer scores, I wouldn't mind seeing Fletch in there as well. It does surprise me that these haven't been released as well. Considering how much fans love their 80's scores and Action/Sci-Fi scores, Faltermeyer's work seems like the perfect marriage of the two. With all these being such massive "song soundtracks," there must be a small amount of music to release. Still, I wouldn't care if the score was only a half hour. As long as the scores were complete and Intrada put some awesome liner notes in, I'd buy them. Just add in a bunch of alternate takes or tracks of Faltermeyer instructing the orchestra. I'm a sucker for that stuff. |

What was the relevance of that (in fact incorrect anyway) statement? |

Star Trek TOS box set is due out soon. That's a major release. After that and possible Bond expansions, what's left? Top Gun HAS to be at the top of the list! Unbelievable the whole hangup with the legal rights, just baffling! |
