USED CARS by Patrick Williams. Starring Kurt Russel and Jack Warden. Columbia (1980) I must confess I'm putting this "out there" more for other people's opinions than any that I have. I have a vague impression that this movie comedy had some great "chase" music near the end, but I cannot honestly say that I recall the music itself. I had this on a VHS tape I copied off a cable broadcast but I haven't been able to find the tape. Is the music any good? Does this sound like any of the "BIG" composers' music? If so, which film? So.... opinions?? Is this worthy of INTRADA's time and effort?? Thanks in advance for any info. |

I want to hear Ernest Gold's rejected score. There's supposed to be one or two cues left in the film -- probably very different sounding from the rest of the score. |

I remember the music was great during the big cars race, but I've always been disappointed that Zemeckis (the director of the picture) and Silvestri had not met before the next movie. This is the very first film score in a Zemeckis movie and the only one not composed by Silvestri. And he would have done wonders... |

Wow, this board certainly gets more spam users than any other board I read. Anyway, for those who don't know, LLL issued Used Cars on CD last year http://www.lalalandrecords.com/UsedCars.html |
