Someone on the FSM forum mentioned David Newman's score for Undercover Blues and it got me thinking of other early-to-mid-90s comedy scores from MGM/Orion: Delirious (Cliff Eidelman) 1991 Fatal Instinct (Richard Gibbs) 1993 Clean Slate (Alan Silvestri) 1994 Clifford (Richard Gibbs) 1994 I've never seen Delirious and I haven't seen Clifford since it was out in theaters (not interested in revisiting it!)... ...but Clean Slate has a cool jazzy score with some orchestral fireworks here and there, and Fatal Instinct has a fun parody score which reminds me of what Conti did with Wrongfully Accused. I'd pick up either one in a heartbeat. |

I absolutely love Delirious. It has a quote that I often recite: "Lox and cream cheese on cinnamon toast? Get it out of here!" I haven't seen it in years, but I remember that the score has a good mix of both beautiful and downright fun melodies. |

Gibbs also did, if the short clip is any indication, an upbeat, faux blue-sy score for "Bingo" (a 1990 dog movie). Reminded me a bit of some cues from Burwell's score to "Raising Arizona". John Morris had his score rejected for the film. |
