These are my holy grails... Heavily synthesizer based and very atmospheric. I believe Intrada have already worked along side these composers and released some of their music. I really think we need to take a look at these: FLIGHT OF THE NAVIGATOR (1986) Alan Silvestri INVITATION TO HELL (1984) Sylvester Levay http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNfvLtfjfhY skip to 1:25, 25:30, 33:30, 56:07 I-MAN (1986) Craig Safan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKM-nFFZ6po and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPKiRV1t ... re=related STREET HAWK (1985) Tangerine Dream http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CCItnKrXvMM Thanks, Jago |

The others sound interesting, but YES YES AND TRIPLE YES to FotN. Caught the movie on Syfy the other week, and it struck me just how fantastic that score is. It balances mystery, kiddie-friendly fun and melancholy so well. Shows just what Silvestri could do with synthesizers (we don't mention Ferngully 'round these parts, boy). A definite seconding from me. |
