I picked-up the DVD of this movie last year, a very interesting (and beautifully shot) documentary about Japanese gardens. The score by Toru Takemitsu is quite lovely, very impressionistic and more accessible than a lot of his concert music. (Takemitsu is also among those interviewed in the production.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgPJ2Uk6_nI Seeing as Intrada has already released scores from other NGO productions (by Moross and Bernstein) this might make a nice follow up! |
