If somebody like Intrada did it, a second release would sell out like five of their six Delerue releases. According to the Wikipedia list, "The Rapture" hasnt' sold out.

Can we expect any big Disney releases from Intrada next year, especially from the 80s? I'm still holding out hope for an expanded/remastered Return To Oz to coincide with the release of the new Oz film! It would also be one of those rare cases for me where I would love to have the album version included, for it was a nice presentation of the score. This one needs to be in print again! Just my thoughts, of course.

At this point, I'm sceptical about any of the scores to animated classics being released. It's a real shame Disney did better with the CDs to the older films than they did with the newer ones. I'd have loved to have had The Lion King in full, or at least, in expanded.

My personal list would be:

Treasure Island.
The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men.
The Sword and the Rose.
Rob Roy, the Highland Rogue.
Kidnapped.
Swiss Family Robinson.
Greyfriars Bobby.
One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing.
Escape from the Dark.
The Spaceman and King Arthur.

There is some really good unreleased music from Return To Oz. A lot are some nice short moments. For example, the music heard when Dorothy finds the key to Oz at her farm in Kansas. However there are longer sequences of music that are missing from the OST as well. The entire Mombi sequence when Dorothy sneaks into the bedroom of Mombi, gets the key, opens the case of her original head, all the way to the part where the heads start screaming and she runs up the tower to escape. However, one of my favorite unreleased sequences of music is when the Gump starts falling apart while flying (which has a really nice statement of the Gump theme), Dorothy tries to retrieve Jack's head, then falls apart completely as they all fall down onto the Nome King's Mountain. All of those, and other bits, definitely add up to the greatness of the entire score.

So, 2013, and hopefully Intrada goes more into Disney releases. Aside from The Lion King, I'd love to see releases of Aladdin, Bambi 2, 101 Dalmations 2 and African Cats (Hooper's score is really brilliant, but it didn't even get an OST release). And, given Disney now owns the entire LucasFilm library, would it be too much to hope for expanded Star Wars releases...?

Last I heard, Sony controlled the SW scores, and they weren't letting them go. Same with "Titanic".
