I wouldn't be surprised if all the major labels have considered this score, but I thought that it at least deserved a mention here.

I recently watched the film for the first time in years, and realized how fun of a listen it would be in album form. It is probably my favorite 80s Horner score after 48 Hrs. and Natty Gann.

Roger actually did look into this title at one point, but apparently the rights holders can't be found. Neither Sony/Columbia, nor HBO, nor Disney, nor Granada Ventures claims ownership.

You'll find those tapes, I'm sure of it. We have faith in you!

After ALIEN, Back To The Future, tonight's announcement of The Black Hole and a successful finding of the rights owners, there's no doubt that somewhere, somehow a source of the Volunteers masters will surface in the near future.

BTW, who was the owner of the music rights after all?

Well, I obviously wish you luck in your search. I'm sure that we'll see this lovely score on CD soon enough.
