If this movie is virtually unkown, think of it as a possible influence on CONAN THE BARBARIAN, albeit wrapped in the trappings of a philosophical martial arts movie. It's a surprise, and so is Smeaton's big bold orchestral score, so uncharacteristic of this composer. Just watch the DVD and see/hear what I mean.
