I'm not that fond of Horror scores but here's my absolute favourite from the genre, Patrick Moraz symphony of horrors THE STEPFATHER.

This powerhouse score sends shiver at all the right places and that's not all there's some really great themes thrown in too like the end title theme.
Terry O'Quinn nailed his performance as the psychotic stepfather Jerry Blake and is supported by an equally great cast Jill Schoelen and Shelly Hack.
And directed by the master of "Family Terror" (Sleeping With The Enemy, The Good Son, ) Joseph Ruben.

Here's the haunting Main Title Theme - note: The stinger at 3:59 does the job for me...







A perfect addition for the Signature Editions.
...and I know that it's on CocoNut's wishlist as well.

The Stepfather is on my top 10 list of dreamsoundtrack and I do hope Intrada would try this one out as it sure would belong to this fantastic label...
