Even if only the LP master was still available from Universal Music, this would still be a treat. (I recall on my copy of the Japanese LP re-issue that the sonics were extraordinarily good.)

Now this is something I could go for. I have copies of nearly all available Ken Hopkins LPs and would pounce on a CD of The Hustler or just about anything else from KH. The guy did some great work, Baby Doll, Lilith and The Strange One are three of my favorites. He had a hell of a tough edge back in the day, too bad he fell into lollypop junk like The Brady Bunch TV series towards the end of his run.

At least he got to do one last good, edgy score for a high profile film in Redford's DOWNHILL RACER. It's quite effective, spare though it might be.

I'm always hoping for more Kenyon Hopkins to be released, particularly The Hustler. The only scores of his available on CD are Baby Doll and The Fugitive Kind. The LPs are pretty expensive now, too.

Hopefully someday one of our beloved labels will come to his rescue.
