During the 1970's Schifrin was as prolific as Goldsmith, but suffered from working on too many projects which were forgotten even at the time of their release. This is an example. If my memory serves me, it was an Avco Embassy picture, which suggests that Studio Canal may have the music rights.

Hell yeah! Terrific score. Great bombastic main title and lots of melodic material. Here's the Americana-flavored end title cue for anyone not familiar with this score:



Schifrin rarely does horror, but when he does the results are always great - as exemplified by THE AMITYVILLE HORROR and ABOMINABLE. I'd love this and his score for DAY OF THE ANIMALS, also for director William Girdler.
