Gene Wilder and Goldie Hawn are two of the most cherished comedic icons of the silver screen, yet few soundtracks have been issued from their films. Wilder's STIR CRAZY is one exception, yet despite the film's success and Wilder's warbling of the opening song, the Tom Scott score has never been released on cd. Really, as the screen's last great comedy team, the scores from all the Wilder-Pryor outtings would be welcomed by fans, as would the John Morris score from Wilder's THE WORLD'S GREATEST LOVER. Hawn's films are even more under-represented in the soundtrack department, and Bill Conti's score for PRIVATE BENJAMIN is perhaps the most glaring omission as no album was ever released, not even on vinyl. Thoughts? |
