I've had the Varese CD for many, many years, and while it's nearly 80 minutes long it's still missing LOADS of material and is presented in suites completely out of chronological order with almost nonsensical track titles. I'd love to see this get an expansion some day. |

Mr. Jones' mini-series work was amazing. And, even though the releases were very generous with the times (mostly 70-80 minutes), there is so much more music available. MERLIN would be lovely. Superb mini. Great cast. And, of course, magnificent score by Mr. Jones. Another one that would be great would be his score for THE LAST DAYS OF POMPEII (1984) which starred Tony Anholt (from the second season of SPACE:1999). I am not sure if that has ever been released, but, another gem in his career. |

I love Merlin and would gladly buy an expanded set. But I think more important is Jones's (and ONLY Jones's! No Orff or Wagner needed!) score for Excalibur. |
