Intrada Soundtrack Forum

Will someone please, PLEASE release these fantastic horror scores? Both are brilliant examples of superb thematic writing we simply don't get in horror scores any more. Both recorded in London. SAVAGE HARVEST has a gorgeous tragic sweep to it, with muscular action music and a heartbreakingly beautiful end title cue. THE SLAYER, I would actually venture to call a masterpiece. The main theme is so damn awesome and memorable, and the orchestrations - especially the use of the harpsichord - are fantastic. Both films are up on Youtube (see below) and are worth watching simply for the music.

Haven´t seen Savage Harvest yet but The Slayer is a creepy little thing with very haunting music. i would buy it in an instant if released,,,

More Robert Folk releases are definitely welcome.

I was going to create a thread for Savage Harvest, and then saw this. Anyway, I was going to write the below in said thread.

As far as I know, this is Robert Folk's first score for a motion picture. His then fledgling status in the field certainly did not detract from the quality of his writing.

This score has a good combination of lush, sweeping melodies and invigorating action. There is no better way to show Folk the respect he deserves than considering this excellent score for release.

Didn´t Folk say on the commentarytrack to the Arrow BD that a cd of The Slayer was forthcoming from Intrada (or another label) am I out sailing here?
