Although I haven't seen the film I'd certainly buy Men Of The Dragon or any other unreleased Elmer Bernstein music.

With the recent death of that seminal figure in television drama and documentary, David Wolper, I find myself reflecting on the outstanding scores provided by Bernstein for this celebrated producer. Given that Intrada have already issued a wonderful pairing of scores by Bernstein and Moross for Wolper documentaries, could I submit a plea to Douglas Fake to explore the feasibility of tracking down Bernstein's magnificent 1962 score for " D-DAY,JUNE 1944." The composer was at the height of his creatve powers at this time and the the score, with its invigorating energy and propulsive drive is as exhilirating and satisfying as any of his cinematic masterworks of that glorious period in his career. I can still remember elements of this thrilling score after more than 40 years and it would be marvellous to have it on disc, even if it had to be with the narration by Richard Basehart. |

With no inside knowledge, I would speculate we're gonna see some obscue TV stuff and documentary scores of his from Kritzerland in the next couple years. |
