Since Lukas has never heard of this title, I thought I'd throw it here in the hopes someone important sees this and might be able to act upon it. GOTCHA! Composed and Conducted by Stickman...errrr....Bill Conti!! Released in 1985 on MCA LPs and Casettes. Film directed by Jeff Kanew and starring Anthony Edwards (with hair) and Linda Fiorentina (her sexiest performance in a long line of sexy performances). Is this something that can be brought to the light of the new age???? Thanks! |

OH HELL yeah!! NOMADS!! Wonderful film (McTiernan's first major film starring Pierce Brosnan during his Remington Steele days if I recall correctly). Those would be two must-have Conti filmscores! Thanks for the reply Roger! Nice to know there's other love out there for this fun little flick and score. |

The recent release of TAG: The Assassination Game made me think of this film. Conti's score is quite nice and overlooked. Spy Hard and the Rocky series are top on my Conti wish list, but Gotcha! is high up there. |

Gotcha, or as we called it, Bang Bang you´re Dead Hope Roger pulls some strings here and get this released (and Doug looks att Nomads and sees that there is an opportunity there too  )

Reminds me of the sounds of the old Amiga 500 at that time ! Funny that eletronic music from video games influenced film music in the 80's. Now it's the contrary, film music influences video game music ! |

While not a critical score to release, another 80s Conti score that would be nice to see is for the 1989 TV movie Bionic Showdown. The movie is an amalgamation of the Bionic Woman and The Six Million Dollar Man franchises, and features a pure eighties score from around the time Conti composed the theme for American Gladiators. It is definitely an acquired taste and might be a bit too obscure for Intrada to consider. Edit: Video was apparently taken down due to copyright. |
