When we going to see a new Christopher Young’s album? Since LOVE HAPPENS (2009) release in February 2010, we have only HAUNTED SUMMER (1988) both from La-La Land Records. I hope to see some of his recent works release on CD. I’m happy they choose him to score PRIEST (2011), let’s hope they do not replace this one also.

My understanding is he only did a few demos for Hachiko -- no recorded score.

I have no idea about "Unthinkable", yet.

Ha! Another brick to the wall of bad news. As if to have Tyler Bates composing the score to the new CONAN movie wasn’t sad news enough.

Go figure. Those new producers must know what they are doing.

We just collect soundtracks. And listen to film music more than anybody else .What the f. we knew!?

You mean tyler Bates, right? But no one is sure -- someione pointed out Steve Jablonsky for Conan.

Only person who could do a tremendous score: Gabriel Yared (think his rejected score to "Troy")

Elliott Goldenthal runner up.

I would even consider Joel Goldsmith -- in a poure orchestral work; none of that electronic samplings lthat made into into a few pieces of his otherwise excellent work for "Stargate: The Ark of Truth"

You’re right! TROY is one of the most amazing experiences I have in film music. But I don’t think Gabriel Yared will accept to put himself on this ring-of-fire ever again. Just to have his efforts tossed out by some mean producers.

Elliot Goldelthal was among my early choices to compose the music. The other was Christopher Young.

Anyway I already lost my faith on this movie.

As disheartening as the current film scoring horizon looks, I take heart from knowing that Chris Young still seems to be getting steady assignments. One can only hope that some of the new crop of directors discover what an incredible talent is available to them.
