Gustav Holst’s THE PLANETS is one of the most influential works among film composers. Specially the first movement: “Mars: The Bringer Of War”. Could Intrada consider make available on CD that old Decca 4184 LP, with Bernard Herrmann conducting The Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus? Maybe some other collectors wish these one! Thanks. ![]() |

And parts of Brian May's score for The Road Warrier is a pretty good recording of The Planets. ![]() I've always liked Tomita's electronic version. |
