The Blue Lagoon (1980) / Return To The Blue Lagoon (1991)


I wonder why these two extremely beautiful scores are forgotten by everyone. The first score exist only as that old Southern Cross album. The second never received an album edition.

Could Intrada consider release a 2CD set including the complete scores?

Excellent suggestion, although I'd prefer one CD with its complete art for each movie.

Almost no one picks THE BLUE LAGOON when chosing the best of Poledouris. For me, this is, without a doubt, one of his best scores.

I'd buy one or the other or both in an instant.

There is no such thing as "too much Basil Poledouris," so I'd buy it.

Is there even so much score between the two that they need 2CDs? The original only has about half hour on disc, and I admit it's been a while but I remember the film being relatively sporadic in its scoring.

But count me in for such a release, either way (provided good sound anyway)
