Yep! This score was great (at least as heard in the movie) and it should only be a matter of time before it is released. At least that´s what I´m hoping for =) |

Just want to insist again on this one... Now seems a good time for it... Could we keep fingers crossed and hope for a CD release of Alan Silvestri's gorgeous score for "The Bodyguard"?? |

I just read on the FSM forum that The Bodyguard was announced at the Cordoba Film Music Festival as a future release from La-La Land. Another quality Silvestri score finally gets its due! |

Unfortunately, the Year of My Personal Holy Grails also happens to coincide with my Year of Not Being Employed. This will just get chucked onto a list of about a dozen personal grails I can't get, but at least it's coming out finally. |

No, no -- thanks, I apprecaite it, but I'll decline. It's one of about a dozen personal Holy Grails that I want out, and about to be out, and I can't expect people to pay my way to some happiness. I was just making light of my own situation. I'm a little disappointed that Barry may not have recorded anything, because if there ws ever a filmn, out of his rejected works, that he was a perfect match for, this was it. |

I caught something on facebook that La La Land records is planning a release of this score. However the last time I checked, no release date has been set. It can't get here fast enough. If John Barry did record something for this movie, I'd love to hear it as well. |

Yes, they announced early about a dozen or so titles coming out later this year, and this was one of them -- we've discussed it like crazy at FSM, and a little here, and other boards. You should really join us more often -- you're almost two months behind the curve. Check out my "Upcoming CDs" thread at Maintitles.net (you may need to start five or so pages back from the last one in that thread). |
