I know it's been out on CD before, but I'd love to have a reissue of this soundtrack made available - not because I don't own the CD (I do), but so that everyone else can hear this music without having to pay an arm and a leg for it.

The LP was issued in 1978 by Columbia Records, and the CD was issued by Pendulum Entertainment Group / Sony Special Products.

As for the movie itself... I think Warner Bros. owns it now? I'm not really sure on that 100%, to be honest. But, sadly, according to this webpage, the masters for the complete score no longer exist.

The LP / CD album master is supposedly still around someplace, but I suppose it would make sense that the complete score isn't around anymore, since the score was recorded at the now defunct CTS studios in Wembley, England.

Intrada... please look into an album reissue? Pretty please, with a cherry on top? :D

Casually I have just read an identical thread in FSM board... Not surprisingly it is full of Morley fans but IMHO
1) You sure it deserves a reissue? The music is light years below Secret of Nimh (just to give an example in the same territory)
2) it not that rare. I've still found the LP in a mall recently...
3) Besides the best cue is the Prologue (very very nice) but it's not even by Angela Morley!

I don't know if there's been any updates regarding the masters for the complete score, but I'd like to see an expanded reissue of this soundtrack too if it were possible.

Your prayers have been answered. The British Dutton Vocalion label issued the LP program as a hybrid SACD just a few weeks ago. (This is the same label which recently also presented the LP programs of Bernstein's THE SILENCERS and Patrick Williams' HOW SWEET IT IS! on CD, and have a complete new recording of Vaughan Williams' SCOTT OF THE ANTARCTIC on hybrid SACD.)
