I would just want to put in a good word for my favourite comedy score ever.
James Newton Howard's score to the 1989 baseball comedy MAJOR LEAGUE
It only got 2 score cues on the Various Artists album back in the day.
I know Intrada doesn't have the best track record when it comes to Paramount titles but I'll put this in the suggestion box anyway.
Here's a quick glimpse of James Newton Howard's fantastic score.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3jzZmRL ... re=relatedWillie Mays Hayes:
What the hell league you been playing in? Rick Vaughn:
California Penal... Willie Mays Hayes:
Never heard of it. How'd you end up playing there? Rick Vaughn:
Stole a car.
That`s a good idea especially when they`re going to do another one now. It could be released just in time for that movie`s premiere. However I have a little suggestion: Why not release a Major League Box featuring James' score to the original, Michel Colombier`s score to the first sequel and Robert Folk`s score to the second sequel.
By the way who do you think should score the next Major League movie? Should James return or should Robert Folk get the job or someone else? It could be fun if James returns to the new Major League but if he don`t want to score it or can`t because of scheduling problems (we all know that he is a popular composer who works a lot) then my suggestion would be Christopher Young. It would be fun change of pace for him to score a movie like this.
