(Wasn't sure which forum to put this in, so I shoved it here)
Okay, I got a sealed copy that was sitting around like a bargenning chip (since I don't get duplicates to pawn off at high prices on eBay later), but the recent FSM thread where there was a contest held to win "Spartacus", and someone won:
Inspired me to do something similar.
So I have decided if enough people want to enter to win, I'll do something very, very similar to the link above.
Okay, here's the skinny: I paid $65.00 for this.
So, to keep the number of people who want to enter, at a realistic level (but I'll certainly accept more), the aim is 11 people, which means rounded up to $66.00, $6.00 per person would be what they'd contribute to win. Now that's my aim 'cause I'm not sure I can get more than 11 people, but if I can, the price will drop accordingly -- divided amongst the total number of people.
I don't know how long to have this open, so I'll just let it dangle for two, or three weeks to see what kind of interest it sparks. If it does get some, then I think one month will do it.
I don't take PayPal, so United States Post Office money orders (no checks, moneygrams or alternatives) accepted only.
Shipping will be cheap, I don't use pricey places like UPS, and I don't over charge. I prefer U.S.A. customers, as overseas shipping is higher and some of you may not wish to deal with that, plus -- no gurantees on safe arrival -- if at all -- overseas. Bubble wrap packeging.
Once all money is in, each person's name will be written on a piece of paper, crumbled up into a ball, put into a container, and then mixed up like balls, and one pulled out and that'll be the winner.
Second runner up gets an optional free title from my tradelist of unreleased scores -- just as an incentive to join in.
Third place gets to wish they were second or first place.
That is all.
