Anyone else remember this forgotten gem? It's right up there with the best of the early 80's sword and sorcery scores, IMO. What I wouldn't give to add this to my collection. |

Cracking album - explanded (and more available!) release would be welcome though....a recent e-mail exchange with Lee Holdridge (he is ultra polite, btw) gave me the strong impression that he thinks the CD is still widely available though....I didn't dare correct him! Will just throw in a mention of the re-recording of the theme by Kunzel and CPO (though it's a little fast for me!), and the excellent suite conducted by Charles Gerhardt on the album "Charles Gerhardt Conducts the Film Music of Lee Holdridge" - a bit of a toughy to get hold of in the UK but worth the effort for this one piece alone - a thundering performance. |
