David Grusin's score to "On Golden Pond" was named on the AFI's list of the twenty-five greatest film scores of all time but I don't think it has ever seen an official CD release, at least not in USA. This might make a nice Intrada release. |

Agreed! The only CD appearance of original music from the film that I'm aware of is the "Main Theme" on an MCA compilation titled "Movie Greats": 1. Jaws: Main Title [2:15] 2. E.T.: Flying [3:21] 3. Jesus Christ Superstar: Overture [5:27] 9. Love Story: Main Theme [3:21] 10. The River: Main Theme [4:27] 11. On Golden Pond: Main Theme [3:56] 12. E.T.: Over the Moon [2:09] [Reference: ] There are also the re-recordings of "Main Theme" and "New Hampshire Hornpipe" done by Grusin for his Cinemagic CD. |
