Monte, THE WHITE DAWN happens to be my own favorite Mancini score, so of course I would love to see that released, too. But the unavailability of SECONDS intact or IN HARM'S WAY at all -- with those being only from the mid-1960s -- doesn't offer a lot of hope for Paramount scores even older. |

I hate to poo poo this, but if you search the endless AIRPLANE thread at Film Score Monthly, where we were all happy and sending love letters to Randy Spendlove's home address (!??!), you will find some comments from Dan Goldwasser and MV Gerhard to the effect that we shouldn't be holding our breath for pre-70's titles, that the new Paramount renaissance will be for the 80's and up......mostly......in the beginning. |
