Isn't it time Roy Budd's WILD GEESE II was released on CD? I've been playing a fair bit of Budd from the Cinephile albums recently (The Marseille Contract, Foxbat etc) and can't help wondering why WG2 has never got a CD issue. Awful film, but terrific music.

Shamelessly bumping this one because it really really really needs a release. I'm just playing THE FINAL OPTION / WHO DARES WINS and - well, it's not WILD GEESE II. :)

Yes, this soundtrack would go nicely on my shelf next to: THE WILD GEESE, THE SEA WOLVES, THE FINAL OPTION, SINBAD AND THE EYE OF THE TIGER - all great Roy Budd scores. :D

Okay, I've just given the cassette another spin and it is definitely starting to sound knackered, so I have to humbly whine yet again for someone to reissue WG2. :)

I watched WILD GEESE II again yesterday. It's not a great movie, let's be honest, but the score is terrific! Someone, please!!!!!!! (You know how some people banged on about SPARTACUS and PREDATOR..... well, I'm like that with WILD GEESE 2.) :)

I am a big fan of Roy Budd in general. I love his score or the original WILD GEESE... but my money is on it's sequel for score. Terrific action score... brilliantly performed by the London Symphony Orchestra. Released in 1985 (but shot earlier), this was
one of favorite scores of that year.
