I know this was issued on LP back in 1982 when the film was released. A fun, varied score by Jarre and one that deserves to be heard again. Not to mention to an excellent early 80's comedy as well. Who would want this one besides me :D ?

I thought I posted a love letter about this score here, but must
have imagined it, so.....

A LOUD YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this score, and will continue to run my POS of the VHS
into the ground to hear it until someone has mercy....I tried to
get a copy of an LP transfer, but I had no luck, hear it's dialogue
and music, and was released by Regency in the 80's....the same
geniuses who did such a sparkling job ruining Bernstein's AIRPLANE
with the same treatment.

It was released? Weird... Or did the LP feaure only some songs from the film and nothing from Jarre's music?
I really liked the film and the score.

Yup. Well, the movie is on DVD because I own it. Still very funny, but dated. Goblinscore is right about the LP though it was released with dialog and music ugh what a shame.

Looking back 5 years later...I caught up with the times & just finished
watching the rather nice dvd of this film - I'm happy to report its a funnier
film than I remembered & Jarre's score still would make a great, fun cd. I really love his main theme here and the Bach-ian comedic stuff would be nice without all the zaniness overlaying it.
Very happy Intrada has gifted us with so many great MJ cds, you guys always do a great job in keeping (my favorite) his memory alive.
