Will this wonderfully-crafted score ever see the light of day?

If it`s possible why not try to release Newman`s both Flintstones scores on one (double) CD, that would be awesome.

Did MCA release the first movie sdtk? If so then Intrada has a pretty good releationship w/them.

Also if I may add HOFFA (1992). An expanded release would be great. The movie was over 2 hrs long I believe and the score stdk is less than 40 minutes? :?:

Now that we have Bill & Ted, let's be greedy... We need The Flintstones as well!

I believe MCA (UNI) released the sdtk back in '94? I'm guessing there's about close to 30-40 mins of music?

So this would be Intrada's territory indeed....

For David Newman comedy scores in general, I would gladly buy a copy of Undercover Blues. Given that it's MGM with no prior album release, it seems quite possible on the licensing side.

The Flintstones could take a LONG time, depending on priorities of course, as there are lots of scores to come from the clutches of Universal Pictures and UMG, and we know that both entities take a while to clear soundtrack projects.

Anyway, I continued to do my part in supporting these vibrant comedy scores by buying the recent Bill & Ted album.

Sorry folks I meant to type UMG. Thank you T. Newman Fan for the correction. :D

Oh, I wasn't trying to correct you or anything. It's all an alphabet soup that only the licensors and licensees need to be concerned about.

UMG is a huge company of many divisions, including the Geffen Records division that labels are currently licensing through for albums originally released on acquired labels like MCA, Dot and DreamWorks Records.

I'm enjoying Duck Tales so very much, that I thought it would be a good time to bump this post.

So here we go again... please release David Newman's THE FLINTSTONES as well!

I second this motion, love Newman's jazzy approach for this score which reminds me so much of Newman's jazzy approach for a bit of Pe-wee and Family Dog.
