I would really like to see a cd release of Mark Isham's "Highwaymen". Almost all of Mark Isham's recent soundtracks have been released on cd, except this one. I know there's a agency promo floating around on the internet, perhaps most of us have already come across that one in it's compressed mp3 form. But of course, mp3 just doesn't cut it when compared with the real thing.

The soundtrack has dark and haunting quality, and has this bad odour of gasoline oozing from every track, and once it has draw your attention, it becomes kinda difficult to ignore, like a running engine in the middle of the night, at the end of our street, keeping you from your sleep.

I think it's among Mark Isham's best works and sincerely hope it will be released officially some day, I for sure will be among the first to put my name on the pre-order list.

I was so taken by the score in the film that I instantly wrote an email to Mark Isham's management who also instantly replied that there was no score in the works.

I wasn't aware about any agency promo - and never stumbled across it... grrr.
