PARADISE (David Newman)

Since Intrada seems to be on a Dave Newman roll, let me suggest a title for a potential future release:

Paradise (1991), directed by Mary Agnes Donoghue, starring Melanie Griffith, Don Johnson and Elijah Wood.

David Newman's score is a little gem. Imbued with an Americana flavour, it's touching and full of great themes. It's moving without being overly sentimental or weepy. There are some lovely woodwind solos, especially flute and oboe.

I hope Intrada will release this one day.

Touchwood Pacific Partners I - financing partnership (Touchstone Pictures and Hollywood Pictures) a la Silver Screen Partners, Delphi and so on.

Interscope Communications - outside company (but frequently allied with Touchstone and especially Hollywood Pictures, e.g. The Hand That Rocks The Cradle).
