How could you go wrong? FSM's "U.N.C.L.E." scores are so popular they had multiple releases. Their "Knight Rider" CD sold out. As well did the Don Peake "Knight Rider" CD from Hitchcock Records (who are working on a Volume 2). And I would assume -- someone tell me if I am wrong -- that unless they were selling well, Varese wouldn't keep cranking out LOST CDs. Then we have La La Land Records and their sold out "Farscpae", and Battlestar releases. You pick a TV series well and you'll have something selling well on your hands, and enough to warrent future volumes. I'm too tired to name some shows I would like, but anyone feel free to do so. |

Okay, finally my TV show suggestions; in no particular order: "Magnum, pi" Mike Post & Pete Carpenter, John Cacavas, etc. "Gunsmoke" (as mentioned before) Leon Klatzkin, John Parker, Bruce Broughton, many others. Any of the Star Trek series. "The X-Files" Mark Snow |

Add to it: "Dynasty" IMDB has about four seasons up (they started putting movies and TV shows up). I have been going threw the end credit of all the episodes I can to ad the composers, since only one was credited. The show has some wonderful music. In fact, the 1980's had a lot of good stuff; can almost never go wrong with that decades. The pilot had no composer credited, but I assume it was Bill Conti, because he also scored the second episode. The rest of the episodes (for S1) were either co-composed, or seperately done by Mark Snow and Peter Meyers. This is long before Snow found his sound that eventually he applied to "The X-Files" and got noticed for. Season two brough in some others who did a few here and there: Richard Warren Marvin Laird Ben Lanzarone Fred Steiner Artie Kane Fred Werner Meyers wins the "who did the most episodes" contest, so far. |
