i wonder who out there remembers the early made-for-TV movie that it seems SS wants all to forget...
preceding that famous duel-with-truck film, he directed one called something like Something Evil about demonic possession, with Darren McGavin, Sandy Dennis, and some young teen who want on to be a star (i think; can't recall who). pretty intense and scary for nighttime TV circa 1960-whatever, i've always thought, with a throbbing fetus in a jar, haunting cries in the darkness, slamming doors, powerful winds, eyes peering from demonic symbols, pretty good effects given the era, and some scene-chewing performances.
did it have eerie music too? it must have, but i can't recall. given all this, who composed the Something Evil music (if anyone), and what's become of this lost film? would it add anything to the Spielberg saga?
